Contemporary painting by Alf Löhr, extending our definition of painting as a fixed 2 dimensional object. Alf Löhr is an established artist and photographer who lives in London and frequently travels to India where he works on local woven pieces of hand loomed cotton and silk to create 5 meter long paintings that appear in different places. In this book he has taken up residency in the charming Ayurveda clinic SAARAM in Kottayam, from where he explores the back water of Kerala combing the images of the water, the land and its people with his fabric paintings.
