At the heart of every political and social movement is a question about who deserves to have power and control, whether over territory, access, rights, or freedoms. Around the world, we are witnessing struggles connected to race, sexuality, gender, and class. The artists in this exhibition ask questions about who has agency and in what situations, working from their own experiences within these complex social and political forces.
