Congratulations to the 2008 edition of the Jones High School Tigers Football Team. Under the guidance of first-year Head Coach Kenard Lang, the Tigers made the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.



In what was a spectacular season the Tigers defeated all city foes. This included a big win over long time rival Evans, a one-point overtime victory over Bishop Moore, and a close one-point victory over Oak Ridge. The Tigers rebounded from only one win in 2007 to finish the 2008 season with 7 wins and 4 losses, including a loss in the Regional Semi-Final playoff game to eventual state champion Jacksonville Bolles.
