In the Fall of 2016 we left Canada in a group of 42 people including our Tour Manager, Tanya Butt, for a trip with Senior Discovery Tours called “All Around Ireland". We were looking forward to touring the Emerald Isle and experiencing the variety of spectacular scenery for which it is known: heather-cloaked moors, soaring cliffs, deep blue lochs and rolling green hills – about fifty shades of green! This tour appealed to us because it would take us from Dublin in the Republic of Ireland through Northern Ireland and back to Dublin for the trip home. We had heard it said that you can’t be melancholy for long in a country that gives its places lyrical names such as Dingle, Killarney, Tipperary and Limerick.
