Über das Buch
My photography is about abstracting a portion of a larger entity, such as a building, and by removing some or all of its context, and then striving to make this portion become a new entity. And in this selective visioning I aim to infuse a certain kinetic energy into the composition.
With Architecture as the palette upon which I paint my photographs, light becomes the paint brush giving the photograph its life; with shade and shadow, lightness and darkness, contrast, repetition, color, geometry and pattern as the features which I aim to infuse into my photography.
At Central High in Philadelphia I had an inspiring English professor - Dr. Gerald Hamm - who would have the class initially write a one page essay Then we would summarize that page into one paragraph. And then the assignment would be to summarize that paragraph into a single sentence. Finally that sentence was to be summarized with a single word. This is what I strive towards in my photography.

Über den Autor
Architecture + Photography have been life long passions from an early age. One has certainly informed the other over the course and geography of my career. My Photography is about abstracting a portion of a larger entity, such as a building, and by removing some or all of its context, and then striving to make this portion become a new entity. And in this selective visioning I aim to infuse a certain kinetic energy into the composition. At Central High in Philadelphia I had the inspiring English Professor Gerald Hamm who initially had the class write a one page essay. Then we had to condense that page into a single paragraph. And then into one sentence. Finally this was to be summarized in a single word. This is what I strive towards in my photography.
