Über das Buch
These eighteen photographs of an abandoned farmhouse and barn were made during a walk in early Spring outside Beacon, NY. The place was barely visible from the small road that passed it. What drew me in was the spirit of nature taking over, the newly emerged flowers and grasping vines entangling the door, windows and walls. Decaying furniture, a rusted oil lantern, a tiny stub of old candle in the basket-clad Chianti bottle next to it and so it goes - all the images beckon the question who, and where did the inhabitants go and why?
