Über das Buch
I mostly captured people who were enjoying themselves at a leisurely pace, lovers in the park, people on the banks of the Seine, groups of people chatting in small cafes. I was enchanted by the atmosphere of the big city, which I had never experienced before, the apparent carefree attitude of the people with whom I encountered. The smiling saleswoman at Gallery Lafayette with luxury goods in contrast with the market in St. Ouen, where you can buy anything, from the cheapest trinkets to antique furniture.
Since then I have visited Paris many times as well as other world metropolises, each
of which has its own unique soul floating through the air. However, Paris is the place that inspired me most.
Paris remains forever in my heart.
My love, Paris.
Mon amour, Paris.
