Fortune gave me a window of opportunity when I accepted a teaching job at the Firestone Staff School on the Firestone Rubber Plantation in Harbel, Liberia, West Africa from 1973-1976. My story and photos show the Liberian people enjoying a peaceful time and life before 14 years of revolution that ravaged the country followed by the Ebola outbreak that continued its devastating toll on the Liberian people.
