I started this blog a year ago as a mostly self-indulgent way to document the moments of early parenthood. The best and the worst. The ups and the downs. The poops and the farts. I have this philosophy that life is about the journey more than the destination, but that we all tend to be overly destination focused. This blog is about the journey. "It’s not about watching your team win the Cup as much as that moment when you wake up thinking, In 12 hours, I might watch my team win the Cup". It's been impossible to capture all the wonderful, hilarious, exhausting, frustrating, and precious moments that have made up this first year of Tyler's life, particularly when we've spent much of it suffering from severe sleep-deprivation, overwhelmed by with never-before-experienced parent hormones, and living in a constant state of dread that everyone is going to realize that you have no freaking clue what the hell you're doing. But I've captured, as best I can, what went into making this the best year of my life.
