Über das Buch
This book is a compilation of photographic memories of my expatriate stay in Kuwait during the 1980's. Times were different then, before the occupation and subsequent Gulf War took place; the sights I saw, the people I met and the situations I found myself in (both good and bad!) are things I'll never forget.
It could well be that a large number of these scenes may never be seen again. Following the occupation in 1990 and subsequent initiation of Operation Desert Storm, Kuwait as I once knew it is probably no more, although in fairness I haven't returned there to check it out since I left! Kuwait will continue to be rebuilt and developed, of that there is no doubt - the resolution and tenacity of the people will ensure this. Perhaps I will just have to return in order to find out what's it's like now .. (with my camera, of course!).
