ENGLISH : Frontignan salt marshes, August 13, 2017.
We are a Sunday.
End of the day.
We come out of a heavy nap.
The heat went away.
We go along the canal to find the vast spaces of these salt marshes that we know so well.
As with each of our wanderings in these places we are invited by salt fairies.
They take us by the hand and, step by step, we touch them.
Each step accomplished is the proof that we are "destined".
To desire is such an intoxicating destiny ...
Let's get to each other then,
every wrinkle on dry ponds,
each stealthy or frozen bird,
We will not turn into a statue of salt!

Born in Paris, France, in October 1956, Patrick Canhan takes his first steps in Paris, in the districts of Ménilmontant. His finger will get stuck in the porcelain inkwell of his first school! That was a good start! Since 2009, Patrick Canhan has published a collection of photographics booklets entitled "UNCERTAIN DAY" dedicated to each of his improvised photographic days. Today more than 280 photographic days have given rise to 280 notebooks, published at the author's own expense. These notebooks represent his innumerable wanderings, both in France, in Europe and Asia.
