A biography of Ronald Darby, who grew up in Barrow in Furness in the 1930's.



Some memories are happy some are sad but genuinely typical of what life was like then.



Ronald was a man with a sense of humour, right up until the last minutes of his life. He posssessed a talen of being able to make people laugh without offending, able to say things whch most of us woudn't dare.



The story begins at Ronald's birth through to adult life, recalling people and places which meant so much to him.
