Über das Buch
Heleen Cornet has been living for forty years in the Caribbean on several islands of the Dutch Caribbean. During those years she has made thousands of paintings of which around 400 are shown on the 100 pages of this book.
Heleen could be found regularly on the top of Mount Scenery were she made drawings of the dramatic rain forest. She camped on the volcanic mountain for more than four weeks. These drawings have resulted in big oil and watercolor on canvas paintings. Lately she made a series of gold leaf paintings that are exhibited in this book.
Her pleinair paintings show the great diversity of her work and the captivating beauty of Saba, this small island in the Caribbean.
A book that shows the nature of the islands where she has been living and the joy of life that is part of the essence of her work.
