This is the first volume in the petite format Equine Portraiture series. The smaller sibling of the 12" by 12" Equine Portraiture books, the petite 7" by 7" volumes focus more on the everyday lives of horses. Part of human's connection with equines is due to the fact that we can see their feeling written in their faces. We can see that emotion in photographs.

The Equine Portraiture series as a whole is about the personhood, the emotions, of horses and humans ability to connect with them.

The petite volumes make a great gift for the natural horseman, horse girl, or horse lover in your life. They can get a book of pictures of horses doing human activities like jumping this thing or that with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi anywhere. But they rarely have the opportunity to just enjoy horses being their horse-selves.
