Photographer De’Andre Scott surveys the facial landscapes of strangers on the street. Standing in shades that frame sunlight he clicks the portraits of characters. They are pedestrian constellations that often wander across his path or in areas his feet take him. In search of the perfect shot, he captures the details of their unfiltered radiance. His images are like a visual journal. Subtle frozen frames of individuals are the sum of all humanity. At that moment they silently speak for all of us. So far De’Andre has published two photo books Snap (2014) and Memories From Yesterday (2018). He’s been featured in Tokyo Weekender, Tokyo SPC, and EyeEm Magazine Vol II. While he did not graduate high school he was determined to get his education. Through the military, he got his diploma, attended Temple University, and graduated with a major in political science. De’Andre is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
