Über das Buch
During WWI, my grandfather kept two journals that began when he left university in New Brunswick and answered the call of his country. The diaries cover his time in the war, from 1915 to his almost fatal wounding in 1916. These diaries were falling apart, so to preserve and share the information I decided to transcribed the contents. During that process, there were so many references that either made no sense, or made me curious to discover more. That led me to research and add to the diaries various explanations, pictures and information, to better illustrate what he experienced in this life-altering war that began a century ago.

After 30 years working, and 16 years in the financial services sector, I took a voluntary severance and am taking advantage of the time to explore two of my many passions -- travel and photography. Unfortunately, I probably only have another year before I'll need to grow up again and get a job, but till then, the adventures await!
