Über das Buch
Love City
St John, know affectionately known as Love City, is the smallest of the three islands that make up the US Virgin Islands. At just under twenty square miles in total area, St John was settled in the 18th century by Danish planters, became a large producer of sugar cane from its many plantations such as Annaberg. Since 1956, approximately 60 percent of the island is protected by the Virgin Islands National Park, a part of the US National Park Service. Locals and visitors have a unique bond with the island and lend a helping hand to each other on a daily basis. The picturesque beauty of St. John is second to none and its beaches continues to be ranked in the Top 10 in the world.
