Über das Buch
Broken Dreams is a compilation of photographs that I have shot since 2008 of shattered and disfigured automobile windows taken mostly in junkyards that dot the nation. The name of this book, Broken Dreams, is apparent. The muddled, stained, shattered and broken glass windows were at one time part of someone’s dream car, or from a company vehicle proudly showing the company’s logo and advertising or perhaps it is a broken window from a school bus where many kids dreamed of going fishing and not going to school.
When looking at the photographs presented in this book, one may think, what the heck? What am I looking at? Are you sure this is glass? It is amazing that when given time, nature has the ability to alter man-made objects into works of art. This is so present in auto junkyards if only one looks for it. Believe me, it is there.
