This photography book portrays the 1st 12 days touring in
Canada, being part of a 25 day APT tour (the latter 13 days
visiting Alaska, which is subject to a second book). This part of
the APT tour took place in August 2019.
Our touring group of 34 Australian and 4 Kiwis travelled by
luxury coach, starting in Victoria and visited Vancouver,
Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jasper, through the Canadian Rockies
visiting Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls and Glacier, Lake
Louise, Moraine Lake, Banff, with return trip via the luxury
Rocky Mountaineer train through Kamloops and back to
Vancouver to start the cruise to Alaska.
This book contains my personal story, told mainly in pictures,
which try to capture not only the magnificent landscapes
but also the people, street scenes, the animals and fauna
and the moods and the emotions. My lenses are my eyes
and I see beauty in simplicity of subjects, such as raindrops
on a leaf or a close up of a flower or patterns and shapes and
colours. Both Anne and I enjoyed meeting and spending
quality time with our fellow passengers, all of whom shared
in “bear and moose watch” on the bus and hopefully they
will also enjoy this book to bring back happy memories.
