In the wake of the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower, which claimed 72 lives and left a devastating legacy among residents in the immediate vicinity, Silchester Residents' Association commissioned artist, Constantine Gras, to facilitate an art project. Art For Silchester offered residents an alternative form of trauma support, as many deemed existing therapies unfit or unsuitable for them.

Over 380 people participated in the drawing, clay, creative writing and book making workshops which ran from December 2017 until November 2019.
