José A. Lorenzo (Toronto, 1975) is a photographer and traveller. The son of a Spanish father and a Mexican mother, he moved to Spain at the age of 14, beginning a life marked by travel and exploration. He has lived in various countries, spending three years in Timor-Leste, three in the Netherlands, three in Italy, as well as shorter stays in Kosovo and Lebanon.
His journeys have taken him across much of Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe, always with his camera in hand to document landscapes, cultures, and fleeting moments. He studied at the prestigious Casa de la Imagen in Logroño (Spain) and earned a master’s degree in Artistic Photography and Visual Narrative from the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). He has self-published several photobooks, where he combines his documentary vision with a unique artistic sensibility.
