A photographer since graduating from the School of Photography in Birmingham in 1975, I began my professional career as a photo-journalist, later relocating to co-direct an advertising, industrial and commercial photography studio. Slidefile gradually changed into Ireland’s first stock photo agency, in which I continued shooting - and editing new stock - while co-directing the enterprise.
Following significant changes, I left for the tranquility of the County Waterford coast to run The Irish Image Collection, a niche agency. I returned to freelance photography in 2007 for a number of clients, chiefly Tourism Ireland and simultaneously established Copper Coast Workshops to teach digital photography.
Now, I'm semi-retired in Spain where I've completed two books. "Waterford, A County Revealed" available through Blurb and published "Flights of Fantasy", an early 20th century memoir, written around an art collection created by my late father.
