Leslie Vella was born in Floriana, Malta on 21 August 1964

He studied at De La Salle College in Cottonera and the New Lyceum in Msida and holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Malta.

Leslie Vella is married to Yosanne and has two children: Nicola and Jeremy and a pet cat called Oscar. He lives in Kappara, Malta and is Director of Marketing Support and Development at the Malta Tourism Authority.
