Alejandro has been photographing the world for more than 35 years, He began his photographic career in 1977 working freelance for several well-known newspapers, magazines, and photo agencies. He studied at the School of Photography in Urbino (Italy) before attending the School of Art Applicate in Basel (Switzerland).

He was a PSA Photography Society of America member and NPPA, National Press Photographers Association (USA) — In the last decade he was the founder of APSPRESSIMAGE photo agency. His images have been published: by Zoom agency, LA7 Corriere della Sera, Getty Images, Gamma, AP, Zoom agency, The Guardian, National Geographic and others.

His work has been recognized in personal exhibitions, in Italy, France and the USA as well as several awards and selections: Magnum Photos, Bassano Photography 2017, Turin Foto Festival 2012, and SIPA Context 2017...
