The Book of Curve Medicines emerged from the course Liberate Your Curve, facilitated by Dr. Laura Batson, naturopathic doctor, artist, and poet. Liberate Your Curve was a 10 week journey embarked by 12 women circling together to explore their way back to the original curves of their beings: those authentic expressions of self that exist outside the boxes of societal expectations and linear rules.



We explored the liberation of our original gifts and teachings, the liberation of Feminine curves of intelligence, Fractal curves of Body and Nature, Indigenous circles of knowledge, nonlinear ecological webs of Earth and all Animate Beings. We explored structures of society, from systems of oppression to systems of liberation. At all levels of life, we asked: how do we liberate Curvature? We answered in poetry and art and and question and dialogue with one another, with Spirit, with Nature. We call these answers, medicines.



This book is a sampling of the medicines that came through us on our journey.



All proceeds of this book go to Black Curve: a liberation movement respecting the liberation of Black women and their indigenous African knowledge systems.
